Delilah II at home in Sausalito, CA. This girl got all over the place last year- she started out in West Oakland, CA, moved to Bodega, CA for a couple months, popped into the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art for a couple of days, got air freighted to Paris for a 4 day exhibition on a boat on the Seine, and came back to her home in Sausalito with a spectacular view of the SF Bay.
Sketching a little today.
Digging up more good shots of the swallows.
I’ve been participating in a reenactment of Ed Ruscha and Mason Williams’ “Royal Road Test”, an art book published by Ruscha in the late 1960’s. It was a detailed investigation of the scene of the aftermath of a Royal desktop typewriter after its ejection out the window of a 1963 Buick LeSabre traveling at 90 mph through the Nevada desert. The footage will appear in a feature length documentary by Doug Nichol about the current cultural status of the typewriter. In this photo we’re enjoying the moonrise after the shoot.
